Natural leaf skeletons are simply the fine architecture of veins that is exposed when the flesh of a leaf is worn away. What remains is a delicate, yet surprisingly strong structure, and each one is as different as a finger print.

I approach each leaf skeleton individually, selecting and matching those whose form and composition best suit the different styles of jewelry I work with. The negative space around and within each one is as important in my designs as the leaf itself.

Each leaf skeleton is soldered between sheets of clear art glass, and the finished piece has a changing effect depending on the color you wear it against.
