Applied Arts Studio custom designs are a collaboration between artist Jaana Mattson and each individual client, incorporating old family photos, personal imagery or scraps of fabric into unique and individualized fine art jewelry.

Using archival and state-of-the-art scanning and printing techniques, original materials are preserved and can be resized, color-corrected and digitally repaired as needed. The chosen images or materials are soldered individually under glass and finished with sterling silver chains and findings, oxidized for a smoky dark finish and beaded to best complement and frame the vintage tones.

Each tile of a pendant, necklace or bracelet is reversible allowing for two images mounted back to back. Prices include consultation, scanning and digital enhancement as well as the soldering, construction and beadwork of each piece.
